Local Priorities - Speeding Traffic Update - Community Speed Watch Event held in Hadfield
Glossop SNT (PCSO Buller) and 3 volunteers from the Hadfield Community Speed Watch Team completed an event on Woolleybridge Rd, Hadfield this morning, Tuesday 16th June - between 10.50 am and 11.55 am. The speed limit on this road is 30 mph.
During today's event 300 vehicles went by the team, of those 15 were recorded driving above 35 mph. with the highest speed being recorded at 53 mph.
Speeding has been identified by local residents and councillors from Hadfield as one of their Policing Priorities.
Speeding is constantly an issue that communities in Derbyshire highlight as being a significant problem and one they wish to see action taken. That’s why our groups target those areas which have been reported by the community as high-risk roads.
We'd like to say thank you to the community from Hadfield in their help in identifying their concerns re speeding, particularly in the above area and for their support in promoting road safety in Hadfield.
Thank you and well done from Glossop SNT to the 3 volunteers who took part in the event today.
